wow that last tom on your scout is huge, what is the season out there, we have a spring and fall here, if this keeps up i'm gonna hafta start huntin again

FAll season runs from Oct 11 to Dec 31 here.
Spring season for '09 will be
Archery March 25 till May 31
Shotgun April 18 till May 31
State G&P extended the season next spring due to the population. They are saying a 50 % increase in population last two years. I belive it doing my summer scouting, most number of young broods I have ever seen. It we don't have a hard winter, look out next spring.
It will be interesting to see size of winter flocks this year. Last winter I observed flocks numbering well over 200 birds per flock.
