Went out this morning with the pup for the first time. sat alittle away from the guns so we didn't scare him too bad They didn't bother him at all. right before first light we had so many ducks come over. When it was time two minutes later things slowed alittle. My buddy dropped a hen mallard and we watched her land and brought gus over to find her. It took alittle but he finally plucked her fromt he brush. I downed one over the creek that I couldn't get. Mean while my buddy dropped a black hen and a goose. He got the black and we went in search of the wounded goose. I popped it up over some cartails and took it down. Gus went right in and brought it back. We got him to swim the creek but he couldn't get up the bank so unfortunatly that duck went unrecovered. For his first time out and being only five months or so he did awesome. The first is a pic and the second is a video of him coming out with the goose

nice very good, yo have been training all along haven't you . nioce looking dog too I have. he has been taught sit, stay and come since I first brought him home at 7 weeks and fetching as soon as he was interested. Feathers have been in his mouth as soon as he would take them. He has a long way to go but loves to jump in the water to drag the birds out. He retrieved a coot, mallard and almost had the black duck until she bit him cause she wasn't dead yet. ;D ;D ;D ;D
