My buddy who shot his first buck this year got another last night. HE sent me a text after I had been in stand for 20 minutes or so and got out to drive over to the farm he was hunting to help him out. His first buck didn't have a big rack but weighed in a 132 lbs. Not too bad for a 1 1/2yr old deer. When I got to him last night he was 2/3s of the way out and huffing and puffing. As soon as I saw the deer I was shocked at the body size. He was another 1 1/2 year old with a fork on one side and a small 3 1/2" spike on the other. HE got him weighed to today and he came in at a whopping 151 lbs. That is a big little buck. He talked with the guy in the check in station who said the smallest doe he checked in all weekend was 113lbs. Everyhting else has been bigger. Seems they learned a lesson from last winter and are putting on some fat. The guy at the staion said not alot being checked in but what is is big in body size Here is tom with his first buck here is the one from last night

wow nice Bucks congrats!@!Wished i where seeing anything lol where you from Bud? I'm from the haverhil area. Upper northeast corner. Sightings have been real slow lately. Missed a doe at 5 lousy yards then missed her again at 30 when I cipped a branch. was surpised this morning when I heard some noise in the swamp and seen a ten foot long something swimming towards my edge. Was shocked when four otters popped out.
